28-Year-Old Male Suffers Head Injuries in Car-Scooter Wreck

A 28-year-old Virginia man was treated for head injuries he suffered after being struck by a Rav4 driven by a 63-year-old woman while riding his scooter. This incident occurred when the driver of the Rav4 was crossing the intersection and collided with the 28-year-old man on his scooter. The man was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash but it was not fastened securely and came off in the impact of the accident. The extent of the man’s injuries is unknown and police could possibly charge the 63-year-old driver in connection with the wreck though no charges have been filed yet.

The man had his nose bitten off and doctors were unable to reattach the man’s nose after the attack. The attack happened when the 47-year-old man was helping a neighbor move some stereo equipment when the dog lunged at him. The man said he has owned pit bulls for 20 years and has never had any problems. He had been playing with the dog that attacked him just minutes before the attack had happened.

The six surgeries the man faces could amount up to $200,000 and the man is without health insurance after acquiring a new towing company. The man said it’s not the dog’s fault for the attack mainly because of how the dogs are raised.

This incident demonstrates the severity that some dog attacks can have in terms of the injuries that victims suffer as a result. This man now faces six facial reconstruction surgeries which can often be difficult to go through. The recovery time for the surgeries could be extensive and the financial burden the man now faces is also immense. These are the kinds of results that can often occur with any dog attack. The 29-year-old man was arrested and later released on a $2,500 personal recognizance bail. Authorities said he turned himself in after discovering police had issued an arrest warrant for him. He is scheduled to appear in court regarding this incident. There is no word on the condition of the driver in the third vehicle involved in this wreck.

The woman was later pronounced dead at a medical facility. Police do not believe speed or any impairment contributed to the wreck. Four Students Injured in Head-On Collision Involving School Bus

In Georgia, a woman from Florida was killed after being struck by a tractor-trailer while she was standing in the roadway. Georgia State Patrol said the woman was originally involved in the single-car wreck struck a guardrail and bounced back into the lane near an exit to the interstate. Police said the 911 dispatcher heard the impact of the vehicle striking the woman. It is unknown what caused the woman to lose control of her vehicle in the first place. The driver of the tractor-trailer was uninjured and did not face any charges in connection with the crash.

Police said the initial collision the woman was involved in caused damage to the lights of her vehicle, causing them to not work anymore. This could potentially explain what caused the secondary impact involving the tractor-trailer. It is possible the tractor-trailer driver did not see the woman or her car even if he had his headlights on. Since the impact occurred in the late night hours, it could have obscured the driver’s vision and ultimately led to the wreck. That could have been the reason why police did not charge the man in connection with the wreck.

At least five people were killed in an automobile accident involving a large commercial truck and three motorcycles. The incident occurred when the truck’s brakes failed to engage causing the truck to collide with the three motorcycles. The occupants of the three motorcycles were crushed to death and two other people seriously injured succumbed to those injuries. The driver of the truck was uninjured in the wreck. The accident occurred at a 3-way intersection as the truck driver ran through the intersection at a high rate of speed. Police took the driver into custody and he is being held responsible for the wreck.

People do not always take into account how dangerous intersections can be. Whether they are 3-way or 4-way intersections, an automobile accident can easily occur for several reasons. The dump truck rolled over into a ditch and the vehicle that was struck came to a stop in the middle of the road. The driver of the dump truck suffered minor injuries and the person driving the SUV was uninjured.

In separate accidents, multiple people were killed including a 5-year-old girl who was a pedestrian riding a toy car. An elderly person and a 14-year-old were also killed in separate accidents.

One of the accidents caused the vehicle involved to catch fire killing the driver and three occupants in the other vehicle involved. Police investigations continue in connection with many of the wrecks that occurred. One such investigation was connected to a hit-and-run accident in which a driver struck two people; one whose vehicle had blown a tire and the other who had stopped to help. Police are asking for assistance from the public for some of the accidents that occurred because there have been no leads.

32-Year-Old Man Charged with DWI Following Wreck

The incident originally occurred when the driver lost control of his vehicle and crossed into an oncoming lane of traffic and into a ditch. Man Arrested for Child Endangerment Following Dog Bite Case

A 26-year-old man was arrested and charged with child endangerment in connection with a dog bite incident against his 3-year-old daughter. The 3-year-old girl was bitten by a pit bull dog belonging to the 26-year-old’s brother and received 150 stitches to close the wound in her face. Police said the man and his brother originally gave misleading information to them including the fact that the girl was bitten by a stray dog and they gave a vague description of the dog.

Later police found the real dog in question and took it into custody. A previous report had been made two months before against the same 3-year-old girl. The dog was euthanized and the 26-year-old man was placed under arrest. A felony warrant had been issued against him on drug related charges.

Hiding the fact that a relative was attacked and bitten by a dog is almost the same as simply allowing the attack to occur at all. Everybody’s instinct in any situation involving an attack is to protect their loved ones from the attacker. However, hiding information from police that could help in capturing the dog responsible; even a family dog, is only opening the door for another potential attack. A North Carolina man involved in a fatal drunken driving accident was arrested and charged with DWI and 2nd degree murder after his pickup truck crossed the center line on a highway and collided head-on with another vehicle, killing the passenger in the second vehicle. The driver, a 54-year-old man, in the second vehicle suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a medical facility for treatment. The man responsible for the wreck made a court appearance in connection with the wreck and is currently held in jail on a $350,000 bond.

Driving on a highway can be dangerous under normal circumstances because even though most drivers are operating their vehicles at or below the posted speed limit, those vehicles are still driving at high speeds.. One wrong move and it could cause a serious accident possibly involving multiple vehicles. The fact that the man in this incident was driving on the highway while intoxicated greatly increases the danger for all parties involved as this incident demonstrates. A single-vehicle accident in California involving an overturned Honda Accord injured two people including a 19-year-old who suffered head trauma and internal injuries. A 21-year-old woman was also in the wreck and suffered cuts to her face and neck pain. The incident occurred when the 26-year-old driver in the vehicle was tailgating and flashing its lights at a vehicle ahead of him. When the vehicle in front pulled over to allow the driver to pass, the driver sped off and collided into a ravine.

A baby in the vehicle at the time of the wreck suffered no injuries as a result. There is no word if there will be any charges filed in connection with the wreck.

Tailgating is considered to be a serious form of road rage and it is a senseless act that nobody should ever commit. This incident demonstrates one of many situations that could result when a person tailgates another vehicle in front of them. Another situation that could occur is if the driver in front suddenly comes to a stop, forcing the tailgating vehicle to put on their brakes. A 59-year-old woman and a 27-year-old woman were both treated at a medical facility for injuries they suffered as a result of a car-motorcycle accident. The incident occurred when the 59-year-old woman was driving her vehicle on an eastbound lane of the highway and attempted to make a turn off the highway at an intersection when the 27-year-old motorcycle rider collided with the vehicle.

The driver of the vehicle was cited for failing to yield at a left turn. The injured motorcycle rider was transported to one medical facility then transferred to a second facility later for treatment of her injuries. There is no word on the specifics of her injuries or the injuries that the 59-year-old woman suffered.

Many intersections are controlled by yield signs and drivers crossing them are supposed to obey those signs and give the right of way to oncoming vehicles whenever possible. This is one of many accidents that may have been avoided if the vehicle driver had yielded to the motorcycle rider to allow her to cross the intersection safely. At times in an intersection there is a bit of confusion as to who has the right of way but in that situation it is always best to stop and make sure no other vehicle is approaching before crossing the intersection yourself. It is better to wait for other vehicles to prevent this type of accident from occurring.

A motorcycle accident that killed a 31-year-old man in Tucson, Arizona may have been caused because of driving while intoxicated. The incident occurred when the 31-year-old man was driving his motorcycle and collided with a Cadillac at an intersection. Police discovered that the motorcycle rider was riding in a westbound direction when the driver of the Cadillac Seville made a U-turn into the same lane as the motorcycle rider. The motorcycle rider overtook the Cadillac attempting to pass it and clipped the rear of the vehicle.

The motorcycle rider was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident. Police believe alcohol may have played a role in the accident. The driver of the Cadillac was not facing any charges in connection with the wreck.

This incident demonstrates how easily one wrong move can cause serious consequences including serious injury or fatality. When the Cadillac driver made a U-turn into the lane that the motorcycle rider was driving in, there is no way he could have known the motorcycle rider was coming at him head-on. Since the motorcycle rider was inebriated, he may have been unable to stop in time from colliding with the Cadillac because his reaction time and judgment could have been impaired. Police said the motorcycle rider was riding at a high rate of speed, which is another factor that could have contributed to this accident because neither the motorcycle rider nor the Cadillac driver were able to stop in time or swerve out of the way in time to prevent from hitting one another.

There are certain factors that, if they had been reversed, the family of the motorcycle rider may have been able to file a lawsuit against the Cadillac driver for negligence or other causes. If the driver of the Cadillac had been drinking before the accident had occurred and killed the motorcycle rider, the driver of the Cadillac would have been arrested and charged. However, in this incident the Cadillac driver was not at fault for the car wreck, which resulted in no charges being filed against him. In another instance, if the driver of the Cadillac had been killed and the driver of the motorcycle had survived the wreck, the motorcycle rider could have been held accountable for causing the death of the Cadillac driver.
